Rescheduling rebuilding projects is a daunting task but given the unknowns of the virus, prudence lends us to postponement. We must all work together to ensure the safety of our neighbors in need, our volunteers, and the contractors we work with. We have already informed our homeowners and our volunteers of this decision. As individuals, and as an organization, we need to do everything we can to minimize contact with potential carriers of this virus for the population we serve.īecause of this, on March 13 the board decided to postpone all rebuilding activities to protect the health of our volunteers and our homeowners. This population is the very population most at risk of contracting COVID-19 and of experiencing the most severe outcomes from the disease. The goal of our organization is to help a population of individuals in need to stay in their homes by making as many physical updates to their homes as we possibly can. With the spread of COVID-19 across the country and here in Maryland, we have reviewed our plans for our April National Rebuilding Month.
